Jennie Kim new album “Ruby” to be release on March 7th, 2025

Following the release of one of her singles on October 11, 2024, after opening her own label Odd Atelier and joining Columbia Records for her upcoming solo activities, K-pop star singer Jennie Kim has revealed that her first studio album, “Ruby,” will be released on March 7th on all music platforms via her accounts and an official announcement from her website. The album’s tracklist and next single release have not yet been revealed.

Due to her recent collaborations with Korean rapper ZICO on “Spot” and Canadian singer The Weeknd and French-American actress and singer Lily-Rose Depp on “One of the Girls,” which was released as the first single from The Idol Episode 4 of the HBO television series The Idol, Jennie became the member of Blackpink with the most features and collaborations. With these two collaborations, Jennie Kim became the first and highest-charting female K-pop singer to have a song on the Billboard Hot 100, making it peak at number 51 (One of the Grils) and breaking more records. Upon the release of her first single, “SOLO,” on November 12, 2018, as a member of the popular group Blackpink under YG Entertainment and Interscope, Jennie broke numerous records. It peaked at the top of the Gaon Digital Chart (South Korea Chart) and the Billboard Kpop Hot 100 for two weeks, making her the first lead female K-pop soloist to top the Billboard World Digital Songs chart in the United States. It also made its debut on the charts of several other countries, including Canada, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The song was written by Teddy, and it was composed by Jennie. The music video for SOLO Officiil was posted to Blackpink’s YouTube channel and has now surpassed one billion streams, making it the first by a female K-pop soloist to achieve this feat.

After her first studio album Ruby was announcement, Jennie Kim also release her second single after waiting for years since SOLO. Her second single “Mantra” it was released through Odd Atelier and Columbia Records on October 11, 2024. This song surprised her fans and everyone with her beautiful voice and the rapping line in the song, Jennie’s charismatic performance in the music video further emphasized the theme of going solo and standing strong on one’s own. Mantra was a commercial success and peaked at number three on the Billboard Global 200 and number two on the Global Excl. US, becoming Jennie’s third and fourth top-ten hit on the charts respectively. In South Korea, the song peaked at number three on the Circle Digital Chart, while it topped the charts in Hong Kong and Taiwan and entered the top ten in Malaysia and Singapore. It also became Jennie’s first solo entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 98 and the highest-charting song at the time by a Korean female solo artist on the UK Singles Chart at number 37.
